the process
This GRC is a natural looking façade option, providing an A1 fire rating and a hardy impact resistant material option. It weathers gradually and evenly over time. This is the original light weight GRC façade panel; 13mm thick and weighing circa 30kg per sqm. It is through coloured and like façade quality concrete, it has a beautiful natural look across the surface providing choices from smooth matt to fully textured.
Rieder’s Fibre C was was developed and brought to market around 20 years ago by Wolfgang Rieder, who owns and runs Rieder today.
This established GRC manufacturer has developed the colour and texture range over the years to the widest on the market, streamlined and expanded the production process to now include panels up to 1.5m wide by 7m long!
The overall brand name is Fibre C, but the range was expanded to include varying formats and shapes to now offer 3 separate products :
1. Oko Skin (the slimline version)
2. Concrete Skin (huge panel sizes available)
3. Formparts (shaped panels in various geometries).
Not to be confused with fibre cement, which is not GRC – it’s a great looking façade choice.
