The combination of glass fibre and concrete to form a Glass reinforced concrete façade or GRC is the strengthening component for the panel. Fibre C is very much an acronym of these words “glassfibre” and “concrete”, a term coined by Rieder to describe its product material composition. This concrete panel offers class A1 fire resistance, long-term durability and is CWCT and BBA certified.
There are two layers of glass mesh fibres running through the concrete panel which enables the concrete panel to be only 13mm thick but incredibly dense. With traditional GRC products offer thicknesses ranging from 20mm to 200mm, Pura Facades can supply the UK market with 13mm thickness – therefore falling in line with standard ventilated facade panels and fixing systems.
