The Company:

Pura Façade is 7 years old, and is part of Vivalda Group Plc with a turnover this year of over £40 million, employing over 150 people. Pura employs 15 staff, and started trading in 2014 having been researched and launched by the existing directors of the Vivalda Group as a new and separate business within the Group. Pura’s performance to date has been strong, rising to a peak of £6m per year in sales from a standing start six years ago, and has been profitable every year. Pura specifies and sells high end architectural façade products, which determine the look of any given building’s exterior once installed. They come in a range of natural looks, finishes and sizes from thicker blocks to thin lightweight panels. Pura are distributors and fabricators of these high-end natural cladding products, so we buy and sell them as well as offering our clients the additional services that they require to design and install these materials on their building. These services include façade design and engineering and fixing system layouts. We offer product presentations to architects, specialist façade installers and building contractors. We also offer onsite training and support from first delivery to site through to building handover. The Group is known for having a successful and effective sales force, and an experienced and hands on management team. The MD and directors are directly involved in the day to day running of the business and are always accessible. Vivalda Group PLC has been profitable every year since inception in 1999, and owns most of its sites up and down the UK.

Pura is a friendly company with good staff, who are experienced in facades. Many of our colleagues communicate with the warehouse team on a daily basis from the office in London as well as visiting the warehouse. In addition, the head office support departments are next door, such as facilities, HR and transport depts.

Some customers also visit. It’s a busy environment with goods in and out on articulated and smaller trucks every other day and our own lorry and or van leaving for building sites most mornings. Everyone pitches in and helps where they can. Pura holds an O license and is FORS approved.

Job Purpose:

You will be the face of Pura Facades whilst delivering customer orders and providing an excellent service. In this dual role you will also support your colleagues by assisting in the warehouse, in particular with our sample service.

This job would suit a driver who would rather add some variety to his working week. This role is for 3 days driving, possibly 4 on occasion, and the remainder carrying out our sample preparation service in the sample room. This room is within our warehouse and offices building, which also houses the kitchen / canteen.

You will be a key 4th member of our warehouse team, the lads all get on and help each other, and they will be on hand to help load if needs be and the office will prepare the paperwork required like delivery notes and packing lists.

The driving itself tends to be one drop journeys, so the whole load gets dropped at one building site which is expecting you. Typically, our sites are within under a standard driving day distance, more like two thirds of driving day.

Key Responsibilities Driver:

  1. To ensure vehicles are not overloaded
  2. The rules on drivers’ hours and Tachographs are observed.
  3. To ensure vehicles are kept in a fit and serviceable condition.
  4. Defects are reported and recorded in writing.
  5. To ensure you are keeping full records for a 15-month period, for all driver pre-use checks, defect reports, safety inspections, routine maintenance and repairs to vehicles.

We estimate that this role will be for driving for a max of 3 to 3.5 days per week. On the other day to day and a half the role will be to check the sample requests that have come in from architects and builders and pack these small parcels up and book them in with the courier service who will then come in and collect from you. This is all done in our sample room where the samples are laid out and organised on built in shelves, and we’d like you to keep this room in order and also advise on any extra stock you need us to order in to keep it stocked.

Please note that this will change as the role and function to the business develops
