Project Manager

Project Manager – London

The Role:

The objective of this position is to run our major projects, reporting to the branch manager. You will communicate with suppliers and clients on a daily basis to ensure that our projects run smoothly, from receipt of order to final product delivery to the building site. You will manage our larger ‘focus’ projects which includes arranging all logistics required and liaising with the warehouse operation to pull together these functions into one cohesive delivery. To ensure that our quality control is in place, that projects are managed efficiently with clear costing organised via spreadsheets for each, ensuring your projects are profitable. You will be the first point of contact to ensure that our customers experience good administration support and documentation where required.

Your work will begin from when the customer order has been placed, and from that point a meeting will be held with our estimating department to ensure you have all the relevant information you need. You will then liaise with the client team to order and deliver all the required items for that project in an organised and documented way, in line with the customer’s required timelines and production capabilities.

This new position has been created to enable the sales and estimating teams to focus on new business and look ahead whilst the operational side of the company is being overseen by a competent, organised individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage projects successfully. This is an internal office-based role which involves a lot of communication, some site visits and client office visits for updates, and occasional supplier visits to keep updated on the materials we sell. Ultimately, you will be the ‘go to person’ for larger projects which will include group Teams meetings for regular updates.
