Monolithic 3D Element

Fibre C 3D enables architects and builders to use three-dimensional freeform elements on facades with complex geometries. The three-dimensional mould made of glass fibre-reinforced concrete make facades with ambitious geometric forms possible.

Thanks to the newly developed manufacturing technology, Fibre C 3D elements can be produced in fairfaced concrete quality on both sides, which provides architects with even more design freedom. Fibre C 3D is created from self compacting concrete reinforced with fibres and pumped into the monolithic cast to build positive and negative forms with dimensional accuracy. The monolithic cast is a special production technology for concrete panels that enables 3-dimensional cladding elements with faced concrete quality on both sides. Each formwork construction is bespoke and based on the architects’ individual design. Fibre C 3D is weather resistant and BBA certified. The 3-dimensional casts are water, frost and UV resistant and can be used for solar protection for outside areas, custom façade cladding or design features externally or internally.

Fibre C 3D is available in 10 classic colours, each in 3 surfaces creating a vivid design on any façade. Fibre C 3D can also be produced in RAL colours upon request. The three surface finishes consist of sand blasted (FE- Ferro), finely sandblasted (FL- Ferro Light) and brushed (MA-Matt). Fibre C 3D offers a distinct advantage over other colour-treated materials by creating a consistent colouring throughout the material, allowing each panel to obtain its natural appearance. The mixture of the desired colour is created before the actual production process and becomes part of the product by being added in the blending of the raw materials. The pigments used in the glassfibre concrete are UV and weather resistant and not soluble in water, providing durable, long lasting colour

The fixing detail of Fibre C 3D is dependent on the geometric form and application of the natural cladding. Fibre C 3D can be face fixed and secret fixed. For face fix application, we recommend a screw fix to an aluminium, steel or stainless steel substructure. If requested, fixing anchors can be integrated and concealed during the production process or added with screws later on. Rieder also provide the optional use of a barcode and scanning technology which can provide advantages during installation.
